As someone of a certain generation, I have made a decision not to watch any biopics of artists from Marley's and previous generations. I fear that doing so would ruin their memory for me. I read Bob's biography with great interest. Two things stuck out for me. He trusted no one and never signed a contract. His family sent him to Delaware to live with relatives in his youth and he made a conscientious decision to return to Jamaica to pursue his art and faith. He was very principled.
As to his untimely death, the CIA made one attempt on his life for supporting left wing political causes. As the CIA later developed cancer causing agents, I believe these were used on him and hastened his demise. He was an influential agent of peace and therefore a threat to the war machine.
