Friendship can be rocky terrain. The ones where I felt I was doing all the work, I’ve abandoned. I have traditionally put high value on friendship and social life sometimes to my detriment.

My single friends feel unwelcome around married people. Partiers don’t want to be around teatotallers. People move in packs and tribes.

As I age I find life narrowing in many ways and I’ve accepted that people will come into and out of our orbit.
