Great topic. My parents divorced as empty nesters in their late sixties. My Dad re-partnered with a woman who is very attentive to him in ways my mother wasn't. He seems quite happy.

My Mom has had a few serious boyfriends, the most serious of whom pre-deceased her. As my Mom was a homemaker, she always did the work of staying in contact.

I live across the continent so wasn't there to witness things breaking down. There were always relationship problems between them and I have not taken sides.
