Housing inflation is a big enough problem to tear North American society asunder. That said, it appears that the low interest rate era is coming to a close. From the 80s to today, few investments outpaced real estate.

Most North Americans view a detached home as the housing standard because that is what we grew up in. It wasn't a luxury.

So will the greater fool materialize to buy this overpriced housing stock? If so, I'm not seeing it unless through inherited wealth.
