Humanity still suffers from cognitive dissonance about technology. You can see it with online threats and other behavior people know wouldn't be acceptable person to person.
In my former workplace, at the time of the Ashley Madison hack, many were found to be using their work email to get after it with people they met online. Money spent on a personal cell or laptop is money well spent.
