I feel honoured that you would share your family's inspiring journey with us. Seeing their photos makes me feel like I know them as friends.

It seems the whole premise of life in North America is in question. We no longer know how to advise our children when the payoffs for being educated and hard working are no longer there. I fear for a society where doing the right thing is more penalized than rewarded.

That said, you have shown us that growing up in a supportive environment is a form of wealth, if non-materially. Even in an adverse world, this can make all the difference in life. Thanks for this reminder of what's important.
