it's become quite clear that the confederate flag has been co-opted to become the symbol of anti-black racism. My only concern as an amateur historian is that the confederate flag and any related references will be censored out so that we may never learn the truth of the civil war whether it be right or wrong from a civil rights point of view. Irrespective of the outcome of the civil war, the south has and enduring and unique culture that needs to be acknowledged
