Meg, you have my sincere respect. We have been a one income household for most of our marriage. We live in a high housing cost jurisdiction and have never owned a home. I calculate this has cost us a million dollars over our lifetime. I don't have any easy answers. Our inflationary monetary system impoverishes anyone who puts family over the almighty buck. Ideals are costly things in a materialist world.
