Great movies and TV are special to us for reasons of taste. As my music collection expands beyond my capacity to store it, I realize how many soundtracks I have from my most cherished movies and TV shows. When you get a great soundtrack with a movie or series you love it stays with you. Such is the power of having two artistic media satisfied in one sitting.

Because TV and moviemaking as a business has changed so much, most of these selections are from a time when a composer was brought in just to composing a soundtrack. Maybe artificial intelligence is already doing that without our knowledge. I don’t know that a composer is needed when we are served a steady of comic books movies and franchise reboots.
