Western society has failed culturally when it comes to learning math. I wonder if things like the Khan Academy on YouTube can succeed where traditional education has failed.

Years ago I aspired to take an MBA. To meet prerequisites I had to take grade 12 math. I failed it on my first attempt and got a passing grade on the second try. The experience had the effect of discouraging me to follow through with my plan. My thinking was that if I was struggling this much with high school math how much more with University level.
