What we have today is not music but manufactured auditory content. This is designed so that virtually any talentless but photogenic person can be placed before a microphone and made into an "artist". Such is the result of tone deaf MBAs running record companies.
I stopped listening to new music around 1996. I sleep well knowing I've missed nothing.
