When the police get involved the result is always death. It isn't just black people but because of institutional racism black deaths at the hands of police rightfully deserve to be viewed under the lens of persecution and discrimination.

With George Floyd it was passing a fake $20. With Michael Brown it was shoplifting cigars. Tamir Rice was playing with a pellet gun. Trayvon Martin was walking through a gated community unarmed but somehow we are supposed to believe he was the aggressor. With Eric Garner it was selling cigarettes without a license.

All of these are minor petty crimes if crimes at all. Yet they all ended in needless death.

I don't hate cops but the preponderance of deaths of persons of colour while in police custody begs the most difficult of questions.
